Mission/ Sending

God, As I seek to know you more place your burden for the lost in my heart. I believe that the more we begin to understand and know You through prayer and intimacy, the more we feel your pain for unreached people. Your intense passion and love for all those that are living in darkness. I am not there yet. I live day to day with more concern about my own needs and desires than I do about the great majority of the world that is dying and living in complete darkness to your love and forgiveness. I want to wake up to your passion and your heart for them. I want to know this reality and I want to share it with other believers. You desire for us to save the lost, but to know you first and know your heart. help me to be devoted to prayer and to communion with you.

The Bible

God, help me to learn and understand your word. I want your word alone to be the guide for my life and for the church. Teach me and help me to teach others the truths of your word. There are certain things I am very confused on, for example: do you want the church to be a gathering place for the unsaved or do you want the church to be going out to reach the unsaved? Do you desire a well produced service or acts of service? Can it possibly be that you are for both? I feel unsettled with the way we "do" church and maybe its my heart that needs to be corrected. Lord, would you give me wisdom and insight into your word? I want to hear what it says and I want to see how it looks. I desire to live an uncompromising life of holiness, I want to share the gospel, but before anything, I want to know you so much more. I want to experience your love to the extent that I can't help but share it with others. Place your burdens and desires in me.

Truth

I dream of a church that will live out biblical truth. Instead of adapting the scripture to the church setting we would change our lives based on what the scripture says. Example: A church that takes care of the widows and orphans. I dream of a church that not only preaches on a gospel centered foundation but teaches people how to teach it to others.
